王国强，字无界，号南堤子，笔名易鸣。祖籍河北省衡水市景县，1956年出生于河北石家庄。
20世纪80-90年代师从刘海粟，1991年毕业于河北师范大学美术系，2012年进修于中央美术学院，师从贾又福。
现为中国美术家协会会员、河北省美术家协会理事、国家一级美术师、国宾礼艺术家、河北美术学院教授、香港美术学院教授、文化部中外文化交流中心特聘画家、河北美术出版社副编审、王怀骐艺术研究会秘书长、河北画院研究员、中国将军部长书画院院士、中国和平统一促进会理事。
王国强专注于冰雪绘画的创作与研究41年，在中国画坛开创出了“冰雪油画”绘画领域。
他的冰雪油画作品以巧妙、大胆的色彩与光影运用，极其鲜明、浑厚的层次感，描绘出了或大气磅礴、或秀美典雅、或细腻温婉的冰雪景观，刻画出了中国真正的山水精神。他开创的“冰雪油画”打破了中国画坛冰雪画家只能画北方冰雪的历史，为冰雪画派的发展做出了卓越贡献。
1990年作品在法国卢浮宫展览并获奖；2010年作品进入中国美术馆的专题展览并被中国美术馆永久收藏；2023年荣获“新时代人民艺术家”荣誉称号；2023年12月，踏雪无痕——王国强冰雪油画作品全国巡回展在北京开幕。
Wang Guoqiang, courtesy name Wujie, literary name Nandizi, pen name Yiming.He was born in Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province in 1956.His ancestral home is in Jing County, Hengshui City, Hebei Province.
In the 1980s and 1990s, he studied under Liu Haisu. In 1991, he graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Hebei Normal University. In 2012, he studied at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, where he studied under Jia Youfu.
Now he is a member of the Chinese Artists Association, a director of the Hebei Artists Association, a national first-class artist, a national guest artist, a professor of Hebei Academy of Fine Arts, a professor of Hong Kong Academy of Fine Arts, a distinguished painter of the Sino-Foreign Cultural Exchange Center of the Ministry of Culture, a deputy editor of Hebei Fine Arts Publishing House, the secretary general of Wang Huaiji Art Research Association, a researcher of Hebei Art Academy, an academician of Chinese General Minister Calligraphy and Painting Academy, and a director of the China Association for Promoting Peaceful Reunification.
Wang Guoqiang has been focusing on the creation and research of ice and snow painting for 41 years, and has pioneered the field of “ice and snow oil painting” in the Chinese painting circle.
His ice and snow oil paintings are characterized by clever and bold use of color and light and shadow, as well as a distinct and rich sense of depth, depicting majestic, elegant, or delicate and gentle ice and snow landscapes, and portraying the true spirit of Chinese landscapes.His creation of “ice and snow oil painting” broke the history of Chinese painting that ice and snow painters could only paint northern ice and snow, and made outstanding contributions to the development of the ice and snow painting school.
In 1990, his works were exhibited and awarded at the Louvre in France;in 2010, his works entered the special exhibition of the National Art Museum of China and were permanently collected by the National Art Museum of China;in 2023, he was awarded the honorary title of “People’s Artist in the New Era”;in December 2023, the “Snow Without Trace” – Wang Guoqiang’s Ice and Snow Oil Painting National Tour Exhibition opened in Beijing.
